The Number 13: The Angel Number That Started My Journey

13 is my personal angel number. It is actually what started my entire journey in 1997. If I wrote about every experience with this number by now, it would be a series of books — there is so much to it.

It’s a number that appeared to me over and over before I ever heard of repeating numbers. It followed me everywhere, but really it was leading me. It led me to angels.

It’s how angels first really started to communicate with me. I did not know in the beginning, but slowly by recognizing it, being intrigued, and learning more I was able to build my connection.

13 led me to books, people, different places, mind-altering synchronicities, numerology, Jesus, Buddha, yoga, Reiki, crystals… I could keep going because my journey is still going.

Something else interesting about the number 13 is that in many spiritual traditions it is actually considered a number of transformation and awakening, not bad luck like people sometimes say. In numerology, 13 reduces to the number 4 (1 + 3 = 4), which represents foundation, stability, and spiritual structure. Many believe it symbolizes breaking through old patterns so something stronger and more aligned can be built. Looking back now, it makes sense that 13 kept appearing for me, because it was the beginning of a transformation that eventually led me deeper into spirituality, healing, and my connection with angels.

13 is still a guiding light for me in number form. It’s there in the background of many things. As I am writing this I looked up and while I am aware it is March 13th I didn’t know the time and it’s 6:44 am. 44 — a solid angel number. See you can’t make this up. And that’s how you know angels are surrounding you while you are doing something. And now the lights flicked LOL. It’s these moments that stop me in my tracks and it never gets old. Even more so because now I can feel that energy in the moment of the sign or synchronicity.

I also had no intention to write today but I guarantee you an angel must have whispered in my ear and that popped right into my head as a thought.

There is so much more to a repeating number or a sign. They carry energy and sometimes messages. Being aligned to the frequency of that energy lets it in. So 13 is not a bad number to me — to me it is angelic and magical.

Next time you find yourself seeing numbers or signs and they repeat, just take a minute to sink into that moment and feel something. Keep doing it each time and see what happens, because most likely it will let you in on a cosmic secret and maybe even lead you to an angel.✨
